Christmas Card 2018

Christmas 2018

Parley: Turned ONE on Dec 13. Parley is very happy and snuggles any stranger who will hold him. He loves pestering his sister and being thrown in the air. Parley is a talker and loves hearing his own voice! Parley learned to crawl at 7 months and refuses to walk. He has the sweetest giggle. Parley got blessed in April and it was so fun to have family and friends be there for him. Parley is a total daddy’s boy- as soon as Curtis walks through the door at night Parley stops whatever he is doing and crawls as fast as he can to him to give him hugs!

Brooklyn: Turned THREE on Nov 10. Brooklyn has grown up so much this past year. The things she says cracks us up every day. Brooklyn started dance class in April and absolutely loves it! She hates when her hands are dirty and has to have them washed immediately. Brooklyn loves heels and makeup. Brooklyn hates mascots of any kind when she sees them in person, she loves seeing them in pictures or on TV. Speaking of TV, Brooklyn would be totally content sitting on the couch watching movies and eating popcorn all day long!

Curtis: Started a new job in February as an accountant at a tax firm. Curtis is still working on finishing school online, which is difficult with 2 kids and working full time. Curtis still is obsessed with BYU sports and has already gone to see 4 different games since October! Curtis’ brain is always going 1000mph with business ideas. Curtis loves coming home from work, snuggling up on the couch and watching a movie with the family.

Shelby: As for me I love being a mom and staying home with the kids. I love doing anything involving crafts or decorating. I love spending time at the park and going on walks as a family. I love going shopping and walking around the mall. I had to have surgery in April and another in May for a dang kidney stone, no fun! That now makes 4 ER visits and 3 surgeries in 5 months- just for me, hopefully we’re done with medical emergencies now.

Family Memories: Biggest news is that we will be adding another little babe to our family in May 2019!! We moved to Utah in February and in October we made our 10th move when we bought a home. We went on vacation to WA this summer and visited family in NV. We’ve had a lot of family come and visit us. Curtis and I rode the top-rated roller coaster on the travel channel this summer at Silverwood Theme Park, it was awful and so much fun all in one! We got a zoo membership this year and the kids have loved being able to go to the zoo often and seeing all the animals. We’ve enjoyed learning, playing and growing together as a family this year and look forward to what the new year will bring!

We hope and pray you all have a wonderful Christmas season and continued blessings throughout the new year. We love you all and thank you for being a special part of our lives!

Love,
The Evans Family

Baby Girl:19 Weeks

Baby #3 is a......

We are so excited for this sweet baby girl to join our family! I can't wait to see Brooklyn with a sister and I feel so bad that Parley will be in between 2 sisters! Hopefully he gets a brother one day ;)

Anyway, everything looked good on the ultrasound for baby sister. As of right now I have placenta previa- the placenta is covering my cervix. We will do another ultrasound in 8 weeks to see if it has moved or not. We are really hoping and praying it moves, if not then unfortunately I will be having a c-section to deliver the baby.

I will do the glucose test at my next appointment and they will also check my antibody levels again. They came back really low last time so hopefully they're still good!

I haven't been sick at all. I have been extremely tired! Ha. Busting out the maternity clothes already and needing to buy some more comfy leggings!

We have absolutely no idea what we are going to name this little girl. Now that we know she's a girl I guess we can start talking about it ha

We are so excited for May and can't wait to meet another little Evans baby!

Brooklyn: 3 years 1 month

Brooklyn's 3 year old check up stats:
     Weight: 35lbs (83%)
     Height: 38.75" (83%)

"Daddy/Mommy you wanna nuggle (snuggle) with me?"

Brooklyn what do you want for Christmas?
I want presents for Christmas!
What kind of presents?
Uhh blue ones!!

Brooklyn says the sweetest things. She loves having her fingernails and toenails painted. She is still loving dance class and I can't wait for her dance recital in May!

Brooklyn is SOOO difficult to get out of bed in the mornings. Most mornings I just let her sleep in until she wakes up, it's just a pain when we have somewhere to be and she doesn't want to get up. We usually send Parley back into their bedroom and let him climb on her to wake her up, she doesn't get as mad at him like she does us ha

Brooklyn got to go to Disney on Ice for her birthday. Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt Cheryl, Alyssa, Mommy, Daddy and Parley got to go with her. It was so much fun and Brooklyn loved it!

Brooklyn got to have her first little "getaway" from mom and dad. After Disney on Ice Brooklyn went back to Nevada with grandma and grandpa for a few days. She had so much fun playing with cousins and staying all by herself at grandma and grandpas house.

12 Weeks- Baby #3

8 Weeks
We are so excited to announce that we are expecting baby #3 in May 2019! Three kids in 3.5 years... Bring it on! Haha.

I have been so lucky and have not been sick. Just so extremely tired, like with each previous pregnancy. Parley not sleeping at night isn't helping ;)

We are glad to not be having another winter baby! But also not sure what to do with a spring baby haha! Brooklyn goes back and forth on saying whether she wants another brother or a sister. Parley obviously has no idea what's going on ha.

My blood work came back positive for an antibody. They tested further and it was anti-E antibody. They told me I would probably have to have my blood checked every month and if the levels got too high I would have to have a blood transfusion. At my last appointment they checked my blood again and did the titer test to check how much I had. My numbers were less than 1 which is really good. The nurse wasn't sure if I would still need my blood checked every month or if I could just get it checked towards the end of the pregnancy. I'll find out from my dr at my next appt. They are pretty sure that I got the antibodies from the blood transfusions that I had in December since I didn't have this with Brooklyn or Parley's pregnancies.

We're headed on a crazy adventure and we are so excited to welcome another little babe into the world!

Parley: 1 year

PARLEY IS ONE!!

I can't even believe that my little guy is one year old. He's so happy, as long as he can be crawling around and not held down.

Parley loves to eat and play with his light up ball. He also loves playing with cars.

Parley has the biggest, most beautiful dark brown eyes.

He has taken a few steps. Has 2 bottom teeth, top right and bottom left have broken through.

It is very difficult for Parley to sit through 3 hours of church. We will be so glad in a couple hours when church moves to 2 hours and we get to do more home centered gospel learning.

Parley got to go to a Salt Lake City Stars basketball game on his birthday. The whole first half of the game he just sat on his daddy's lap and stared at the game. It was so cute!

Parley's stats:
     Weight: 23.6lbs (60%)
     Height: 31.1" (87%)
     Head: 18.5" (69%)

Parley: 11 months

Parley got his first bloody nose. He was climbing on a box and fell face first onto the kitchen floor. It started gushing blood immediately!

Parley loves to wave bye-bye.

Parley still only has 2 teeth. His top four and outside bottom two have been white bubbles for a couple months now but they still haven't popped through yet..

Parley absolutely loves food. He could eat all day long and still be hungry.

He has no desire to walk. We try and get him to take a few steps and he just falls down. He walks around the couches and toys and furniture so fast but he won't walk on his own.

Parley has a temper. If he gets told no or has something taken away from him he will lay down and cry.

Brooklyn: 3 years

A letter to my 3 year old-

Dear Brooklyn,

I hope as you grow up you will continue to say "I so cute!" everytime you look in the mirror and believe it. I hope your love for your brother never changes and that you always stay the best of friends. I hope you continue to love your Savior and Heavenly Father as fiercely as you do now, and that you continue to learn and grow in the gospel. I hope you can travel and see all the beautiful places this world has to offer. I hope you will always have a smile on your face and be willing to help those in need. I hope you will always cherish and love your parents and know that we will always be there for you no matter what. I hope that you can always have a fun but also know when to be serious and get things done. I hope you always believe in yourself and chase your dreams. I love you with all my heart, baby girl. Happy 3rd birthday princess!

Love, Mommy
