The Temple is a Holy Place

This afternoon Curtis and I were able to attend the temple together. We have not been able to go together for quite a while. We didn't want to leave Brooklyn for too long so we decided to do sealings, which is just what I needed.
It is so wonderful to be able to kneel across the alter and hear those beautiful blessings and covenants that we heard and promised on our own wedding day. Curtis and I were the youngest couple in the session. We were able to sit and reflect on our own marriage just 2 short years ago. Being in such a sacred place with my eternal companion is one of the greatest blessings.
As we sat in the sealing room I was able to ponder and pray to my Heavenly Father about questions that are on my mind. Heavenly Father listens and loves us. He knows us each individually and I am so grateful for His love and blessings that he pours down onto me and my family.
I love the temple and am so eternally grateful to be able to be worthy to enter into the house of the Lord. I love this gospel and all of the wonderful blessings that it has brought into my life. I am grateful for my husband and all of his hard work that he does. I know that we are sealed for eternity and what better blessing is there than being with your family forever?
I know I am rambling but I just feel so much gratitude and peace in my heart today as I serve the Lord.

Brooklyn: 11 months

11 months old! How is this possible?! Brooklyn has all of a sudden decided yesterday that she needs to really walk! She was taking about 10 steps every once in a while and loved to walk while holding our hands, but yesterday she just took off! She is so smart and learning new things everyday. She loves to fold her arms while we pray, throw her arms in the air when we say woo-hoo, bath time, snuggling her baby dolls, play peek a boo, and her mommy & daddy. For the past month or so Brooklyn has been in a nightly routine. We give her a bath, lotion her up, pajamas, read a story, pray with mom & dad, nurse or take a bottle of water, and go to sleep in her crib. She was sleeping all through the night for about a week but once she started nursing less during the day she started waking up again throughout the night to nurse. She is practically weening herself from nursing during the day, she loves cows milk and drinks it throughout the day. We are getting ready for our 10 hour road trip in a couple weeks to go see my family in Nevada! We can't wait to celebrate Brooklyn's first birthday party!

She thinks she's pretty cool when she sits in adult size chairs.

Daddy went to the temple to help the youth with baptisms. Love having priesthood power in our home.

Brooklyn gave herself a black eye while playing on the treadmill.

Brooklyn loves sticking her tongue out!

October 1, 2016: Bill's Berry Farm

Today we went to Bill's Berry Farm in Grandview, WA. It was so much fun and had so many fun things to do! When we first got there we went to the pumpkin patch and Brooklyn got to pick her very own pumpkin!

We took a hayride over to the other end of the farm and played Sling Shot Apples. If you got the apple through the hole in the board you won a dozen pumpkin doughnuts. I got my apple through the hole and won us some doughuts! They were so good!! The worker told me I was the first winner of the day!

They also had a petting zoo and Brooklyn had so much fun looking at the animals!

We had such a fun day at the farm! What better place to spend the first day of October than at a pumpkin patch and going on a hayride!

We love being able to do all of these "firsts" with Brooklyn!
