June '17 in Review

- Babysit (more like play date) Mae and Tess. Brooklyn had so much fun playing with friends. Tess is 1 month younger than Brooklyn and Mae just turned 4 last month.

- Brooklyn and Mom got pedicures! The more I get the less ticklish my feet are each time!

- Baby doctor appointment. Ultrasound looks good but they want me to take it easy and not lift heavy things for a while, which includes Brooklyn and is very hard to not pick her up! (I'm not doing very good at that!)

- Play date at the park and splash pad!

- Swimming at a family's house for Young Women's. They needed to pass off some certification for camp and since Curtis used to be a lifeguard they asked if he would do it, so we got to go swimming!

- Camping for the first time this summer! And Brooklyn's first time ever. It was so much fun, even though it rained on us.

- Curtis had his last day of school! Woo-hoo! We left the next day to spend a week and a half in Nevada with my family and we had so much fun! Lots of cousin time and girl time with all these little girls running around!

- We had a BBQ for father's day. Grandma, Ashley and girls, Cheryl and kids came over and we had so much fun. I love being able to spend time with my family and watching Brooklyn play with them all! She has such a blast!

- We went on a few walks while in Nevada, played with cousins a lot and got to catch up with family and friends we don't get to see that often! My parents took me to Dos Amigos for my early birthday dinner and man have I missed that restaurant ha!

- Curtis and I were finally able to go to the temple! We were able to do a session that we haven't been able to do in a very long time! It was some much needed time together serving in the House of the Lord and it was definitely what we both needed!

- 15 week baby doctor appointment. No ultrasound this time but they checked the heart beat and it was strong and loud. (I'm still believing I'm further along than they say I am ;)

- Curtis started working summer school! It's only 3 hours a day so he is still able to get a lot of his school work done!

- There is a movie theatre in Pasco that does free movies 3 mornings a week throughout the summer. Brooklyn and I decided to go check it out and we got to watch Annie. Next week is Trolls and Brooklyn is so excited to watch Poppy on the big screen!

- Will's work had a picnic and pool party at the little water park in Hermiston, OR. It was so much fun! Brooklyn had a blast going down the slide and we probably took her down it 50x! She even went down once by herself!

Brooklyn: 1 year 7 months

- Brooklyn is so excited to be a big sister! She throws her arms in the air and yells "sister" and it's the cutest thing ever! She also kisses my belly everyday and has named the baby Gocco (Crackle).

- A definite lover of lipstick/lip gloss. She will bring me my bag and say please then smack her lips together for me to put some gloss on her lips!

- We babysat a couple girls one morning and Brooklyn loved their slide and piano! She is so independent and loves playing by herself but she also loves having friends and playing with them.

- Got her first pedicure this month! I was in getting a pedicure and she likes to stand in the foot tub. We asked the lady if they would be able to paint her toes or if they had a certain age they had to be. The lady said it would be fine and painted her toes right then and put polka dots on them. Brooklyn was in heaven and thought it was the coolest thing ever! She stayed still a lot better for her than she does for me.

- We went swimming a few times, which is a favorite of Brooklyn's! Let's be honest, Curtis and I love it too.

- Brooklyn and I went to a play date at the park and splash pad and she had so much fun. The first time we took her to a splash pad this summer she hated it so I was so grateful that she loved it this time. We also took Brooklyn out kayaking for the first time and she loved leaning over and putting her hands in the water.

- Curtis and I took Brooklyn camping last night for the first time and we were so glad that she loved it as much as we do! It took her a while to calm down and go to sleep but everything else she loved! She loved sitting by the fire and watching our tin foil dinners cook, she loved running around and picking up sticks, she loved helping Curtis and I unload the car and get everything set up! I'd say it was a success for her first camping trip.

- We sure love this girl and enjoy every single day we have with her, watching her grow and learn! She is so funny and sassy and we love our little blue eyed blonde!

12 Weeks- Baby #2

We are SO excited to announce that we are expecting Baby #2! We are ecstatic and can't wait for December! Christmas is coming early this year!!

Brooklyn is going to be the best big sister! She loves her baby dolls and treats them like they're her own babies! She also will pull up my shirt and kiss my belly. We can't wait to see Brooklyn with our new baby!

At our first doctors appointment we thought I was 7 weeks 5 days along, but according to the ultrasound I was only 6 weeks.. I still haven't come to terms with being 2 weeks behind what we thought we were. I'm not believing it quite yet! Ha. I really do feel like I'm further along, so hopefully this baby comes a couple weeks earlier than the doctors due date! At each appointment the baby was measuring closer and closer to my original due date. So I'm not entirely sure how many weeks to tell people I am or when our due date is ha! Anywhere between 12/8 and 12/20! Which is a huge difference while pregnant!

With Brooklyn I never got sick until the 2nd trimester. This baby is being the same way. Last week Brooklyn and Curtis came down with the flu and a few days later I was throwing up too. So I'm not sure if it was the flu or the baby sickness finally coming.

One thing is for sure. I have been DANG tired! Seriously, I didn't know a person could be so tired! I take a nap almost every day when Brooklyn does and it still isn't enough sleep. I also have been getting pretty bad headaches this time around, too.

No matter the sickness or tiredness I am just so excited to be blessed with another baby. I don't think we're very good at planning kids because Brooklyn came a lot earlier than we thought and this baby took a lot longer than we had hoped and planned! But we are just grateful to have another babe join our family!

We asked Brooklyn one day what the babies name is and she said "Gocco". And every time after that she says the same thing! So funny and we have no idea what she is saying! One day we were watching Princess Sofia with her and she kept saying it over and over! We finally realized she was saying Crackle, the name of the little dragon on the show! Don't ask me why she chose that name but we think it's adorable and have decided that when we get a dog we will name her Crackle! Haha.

Brooklyn loves giving the baby kisses and telling everyone about her little secret. She will sit there and just say baby over and over until we tell them what she's talking about! It is so cute!

Only thing I've craved so far is Dr. Pepper! If you know me, I am so not a pop drinker.. But man. When I finally got my hands on an ice cold Dr. Pepper it was heaven!! I've also been eating a lot of plain stuff like popcorn, toast and ramen because it's the only thing I can usually get down.

Honestly, we just couldn't be more excited and are so glad to finally be sharing the news with everyone! Check back here and I will be doing updates throughout my pregnancy!
