FHE: October 17,2016

I love Halloween! Fall time with all the cool weather, pumpkin everything, cozying up watching Halloweentown & Hocus Pocus, hot chocolate and spending time together as a family!

For Family Home Evening tonight we sat in the living room and each chose a hymn to sing. After that we watched a Mormon Message, watch here. This was such a inspirational video on not blaming others for your own shortcomings. Nobody is perfect and we need to take action in our own lives!

After that we had a fun time carving pumpkins as a family! This is Brooklyn's first Halloween and it was so fun! I cut open her little pumpkin and she would stick her hand in it and try and eat the pumpkin. She was so cute! She didn't mind the gooeyness on her hands but she did not like when a pumpkin seed was on her hand! She would put her hand up in the air for us to wipe it off.

Brooklyn enjoyed every second of it even if her face doesn't show it. We love spending time together as a family and making new, fun traditions. I am so excited to be able to carve pumpkins with Brooklyn every year.

Brooklyn loves this little witch so much! She sings "I want Candy" and now Brooklyn says candy all the time! We just plan on telling her the witch's name is Candy and not tell her what candy actually is! Haha. Curtis made a scary gnome pumpkin and there's Brooklyn's little B!
And of course we had to end the night with baking pumpkin seeds!! YUM!

And that is how you spend Family Home Evening :)

xoxo,
Shelby
